2 months and tough

Abby had her 2 month check up today which means...shots. She did so well. She hardly even cried. Not like my other girls. I remember that after Olivia had her first shots I think she was mad at me for a week. Abby cried of course, but soon forgot it. Maybe that means she is very forgiving. Well, she is as cute as can be and she is a blessing in our home.
Abby is now 10 lbs and 12 oz and 21 or 21 1/2 inches. I'm not sure what the nurse said.

Mommy's Helpers

My girls love to help their baby sister. Often I will be trying to get something done and little Abby will be fussing. When I go to get her no one is around. I look down and there, right next to her will be a toy. A little sign that someone was giving her some love while I was busy. Her older sisters are always trying to comfort her. They are so sweet.

Sometimes "help" can get pretty funny.

Mother Duck!

That's what I thought as I caught my reflection in the store window today. I had Abby in the cart and I was pushing it with one hand. Sammie was holding my other hand and Olivia had her hand. Just one more little one really seems to add alot to our family.

Today was the first time I took all 3 girls out by myself (besides the park). I haven't ever needed to go somewhere with all of them and Abby is already 7 weeks old. So I thought today would be the day. While we were browsing the aisles of Target several people said things like, "Oh 3 girls!" The little newborn makes everyone ooh and ahh, except for the young man who was our cashier at Borders who I doubt has been around many babies. He was a little flustered by Abby's screams.

I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of life again. It has been so great to spend the week at my parents house and to have a little extra time to myself. We're headed home tonight and Olivia has been sulking all day about wanting to see her daddy. He will be here shortly so we can drive home together. He's been at a conference all week and we've missed him.
