Abby and Uncle Buster

Abby loves the being the boss.  My parents got a new puppy, Buster, recently and Abby has taken on the mothering role quite well.  "Buster, stop!  Buster, down!  No biting! Come here!" She always knows where he is and what he's doing. She grabs him by the collar to coax him into doing what she wants.  In this case it's "Drop the ball and take a picture with me."  Buster doesn't seem to mind.  He gives her a lovey face and obeys.  I'd say she's got this puppy wrapped around her little finger.  And Abby relishes the enjoyment of getting to be the boss of someone.  Finally.  These two make quite the pair.

Some Blueberry Yumminess...

Made these.

Ate these.

Blueberry Pickin'

We've been visiting my parents for a week now.  Joey is away working on his Master's Degree and we've been enjoying Grandma's house and cousin time.  On Friday we went and picked blueberries up at Apple Hill.  My sis-in-law, Dianna took all of these pictures.  We had a lovely time picking and picking.

Sammie is a work horse and was determined to fill her bucket.

Noah kept pulling berries off the branches and just stuffing his face over and over.  He never got sick of them and I don't think he ever got a stomach ache from them either.

My girls!

That's 17 pounds of blueberries!  We have frozen some, eaten tons, and baked some in goodies.

Such a fun morning...and I'm not even sick of blueberries :)

Dancin' Girls

Sammie and Olivia just had their dance recital this week and they both performed beautifully.  They are glad that it's over though.  Sammie was a leprechan and Olivia's class danced to "Singin' in the Rain."  Very cute.  Abby practically performed also...from her seat in the audience.  She was loving the show.

Because we could...

we went to the beach again on Monday.  It was cooler than last time, but every bit as relaxing.  Then we drove another 30 minutes to visit Joey's brother Mike and his wife Erna.  We visited and ate a delicious dinner.  The girls played with the dog and ran around outside and then played at the park until it was dark.  Then we drove home in the dark of night with our dirty, sandy, happy kids asleep in the back.  It was quiet.  The perfect summer day.
