One. It's a good time.

Abby was so cute opening her presents. She loved it. She kept trying to put on her new clothes. She dove right into the cake and made a pleasant little mess all over her face. She went right in with both hands and ate and laughed and jabbered. Abby is always ready for a good time. Joey remarked that it must be because in every single prayer Olivia gives she asks that we will have a "good time." Abby is reaping the blessings of her sister's prayer. She always has a "good time."

Happy Birthday Abby Jane

1 Year ago I was feeling so sick because I had to fast all morning in preparation for my c-section. I was nervous and excited. The combo made my stomach feel not so good and I was light headed. I went and got a pedicure to take my mind off things and went to the book store. Finally it was off to the hospital which is practically around the corner and everything went smoothly. Abigail Jane joined our family and I felt like I knew her before she was born. Life is a miracle.

I was so happy when she was born and so eager to get home. I can't believe how much a little baby changes in just one year. I love Abby. She is so happy and smiley and lovey. She walks all over the house just talking and jabbering to herself. She loves to scream and giggle in typical Biron girl fashion. She knows what you have to do to be heard around here :) Happy Birthday Abby!

I Love FLowers...and I will miss these

Olivia was only a year old when I planted these flowers.

Yesterday Sammie wanted to stay outside and play with a stick. It was a cool morning and was about to rain. We stayed out and she flicked mud in the gutter and ran around playing some little game. Abby kept wandering over by the hydrangeas and then I felt a little sad. We will be moving this summer from our little "cottage" as I like to call it. We're not going far. We just need a little more space for our growing family. This is my first home. When we bought it, it was a piece of junk and little by little we have fixed it up. So many memories. Good neighbors and life experiences. We won't be selling it yet...but it will be strange to not wake up to little feet on the creaky wood floors. Maybe our new house will have a place for hydrangeas.

Here's Proof

She is walking. She's been stepping for a few weeks now, but this week she is really starting to get the hang of it. It's so weird to see her toddling around the house...and into everything. She is my trouble maker, but so happy.

My Responsible Daughter

Olivia is responsible. This is a new thing for her. She clears the table after dinner without being told. She starts cleaning her room without being told. She tells Sammie to not get so many toys out because, "I'm going to have to clean them later!!" She now likes to get her school clothes ready for the next day. I smiled this morning when her clothes were laying neatly over the chair with her necklace spread out. She was still sleeping and her clothes looked like they had been sitting there waiting all night just ready for Olivia to throw them on in the morning. Sometimes I look around the house at the messes and I can't help but smile to myself. Everything that lays around still has an energy to it. It got left behind before someone was finished with it. Dress ups draped over furniture, a little sandal in my room, all the books pulled off the bookshelf, a trail of blocks through the hallway. All these things seem like they are only frozen and stand as evidence of the little hands and feet that trample around the house. I love being a mom.

I Love Sunshine Days

I love these days.
Eating lunch in the yard.
Coloring with chalk on the sidewalk.
Laying on a blanket and doing...
nothing.
These are good days.
