A Beach Getaway

After Christmas I was craving the ocean so Joey and I booked a little night away for my birthday.  I love to be at the coast and breath the fresh air.  The beach is a place I feel completely relaxed and worry free.  I would love to live on the beach and I'm glad that we aren't too, too, far away.  I wouldn't mind closer though.
It was rainy and cold, which was perfect to me.  I loved the change of weather.  We visited lots of little coastal towns and ate at fun places and just enjoyed being together in a different place. 
I mostly just wanted to sit on the beach and read.  I can't think of many things better than that.  Since it was raining, not pouring, we put up a big beach umbrella, and sat in some low beach chairs, and pulled out our books.  When the rain let up we strolled down the beach for a bit.  It was cozy and just wonderful.
