I'm so proud of this guy. We just found out that he was accepted as a recipient of the the James Madison Memorial Foundation Fellowship. It is awarded to History Teachers seeking to furthur their studies and receive a Master's Degree in History. We were so excited. Joey has been wanting this scholarship for a few years and he finally applied and was accepted! Many people have to apply multiple times before they receive the scholarship so it was very unexpected. Only a couple of recipients are chosen each year from California. What does this mean? Well, he'll be getting a second Master's Degree. He received his first a few years ago in teaching/intruction and now he will be getting one in History and he'll be working on it each summer for the next few years. Busy, but worth it. And it's all paid for.
