Abby took tons of photos of herself while we were sitting at Sammie's soccer practice one evening. Most of them were goofy faces, but this one was so striking to me. I love that you can see all her freckles and the cute bow shape of her lips and her always ginormous eyes. Kids these days are pros at taking photos of themselves.
I've been enjoying soccer season this year, even though we are incredibly busy it feels like. It makes a big difference that Joey is coaching Sammie's team. It's just another added thing, but it's much less stressful than it was a few years ago, because he has the hang of it better now. Lots of things going on with music lessons and soccer and homework and an 8th grader with mounds of Algebra every night. In fact her Algebra book has taken up permanent residence on our kitchen table. We still have time to relax and I love that Abby gets to spend most of her afternoons playing outside with kids in the neighborhood, even though yesterday she came home with her hair done up and a full face of makeup. It was all in good childish fun. I love that she gets to do that.
