I love the city of San Francisco. I don't know if it is because I went their every so often when I was growing up or if it us just the city itself. Probably both. I have memories of going there as a child, taking trips on my own as a teenager with friends, driving a stick shift on the big hills when I was a college student, and then the visits we have made as a family. It is so nice that Joey's parents live near the city so we can go when we visit them. When I see San Francisco across the bay I get such a happy feeling.
On this trip we went to pier 39, ate pizza for lunch, rode the carousel, tried on crazy hats, watched the Sea Lions, went to the big slide at Yerba Buena Gardens, went to North Beach and ate Gelato at Naia, Joey talked to some Italians and got to use his Italian (They said he spoke very well), then we ended the trip by driving across the Golden Gate Bridge. We got back to his parent's for dinner and crashed. A perfect day in the city.
Abby was really excited because this sidewalk was sparkling in the sun. She saw it before we parked and wanted to get out of the car immediately and walk on it.
