I like Big Bags and I cannot Lie...

Sorry for the horrible Sir Mix Alot pun. I couldn't help it. I really do like big bags. I remember back in high school and college when I refused to have a "purse." I didn't want to be a "purse girl." Whatever that was. I don't even know what I was trying to avoid. I just didn't like seeing people carry around their backpacks and then a purse too. Why don't you just consolidate into one bag? It looked like too much of a hassle.
It is sort of like "I'm never going to drive a mini van." Well that idea quickly went out the window as soon as the kids started to come. Safety, fuel efficiency and space come first. I proudly drive my mini van now without a second thought. So back to the purse. I still had to carry my wallet and lip gloss around in something, but it was never a purse. I just casually called it a "bag." It was small. That's how I felt okay still calling it a bag. They were never very girlie. Just a plain little bag.
So like the mini van, I now love purses. The bigger the better. I love to carry my every need over my shoulder so that I am prepared for any situation. Runny nose? Got the tissue. Owie on the knee? I've got band-aides. Someone wet their pants? Here's the extra undies and a plastic bag for wet clothes. Thirsty? Hungry? You will be taken care of. However I somehow manage to always leave my sunglasses behind...oh well, I can't remember everything.
I was just laughing about my new big bag that was shipped today. I need a big one to carry the needs of 3 children. I giddiliy opened the box, slung it over my shoulder and glanced in the mirror. "That's big. I can fit so much stuff in here," I thought. "Awesome."

You're a hip mom that's probably past the "diaper bag" stage. I haven't reached that yet, I still have the stylish "purse" purchased from Babies R Us.

I'm so happy for you and your new little girl. She is adorable. Congratulations! Your girls must be in love with her. I'm glad you are doing well. I hope recovery goes great. YOur family is so darling. I've always admired you ever since way back when we stitched flowers on our converse high tops and made our "little pieces of tape" commercials for our honors projects assignments! You are one terrific person.

Ps. Can't wait to see the awesome bag!
